[The Chicken Rodeo]

Small Critique

The end is a bit abrupt and the plot doesn't read as clearly as it could.
That's about the only really major flaw, but honestly, this is an extremely well done and enjoyable animation.

The other flaw that stood out like a sore thumb for me were the facial expressions. There were none. The faces were way to emotionless. Work on your expressions. Even a cartoon like family guy were facial expressions are minimally represented has more range than these characters. Even Odd-Job jack, which because its a huge tweenfest is terrible with facial expressions, has more range and better expressions than this. You could have stuck a paper bag over each characters head forall their expressions mattered.

Anyways, great animation!

A toothbrush DOES have a heart. Nice animation, I really enjoyed how cute his roundy eyes were.

A True Ten

Not sure about liking the ending the best, but still, this cartoon has one of the best, solid plots, direction, etc.. of anything I have ever seen on newgrounds. A good story that draws you in and keep syou interested, good visual direction, etc.. is the rarest of rares on newgrounds. This was more solid than Waterlollies in that respect and really gets the point of making a truly good cartoon. Well done.

[Angry Dog - Be My Bitch]

Once again, great animation, terrible voices.

I really liked this episode, even better than the other one I saw, once again, great animation you guys, top notch. And the jokes were good, story pulled me in. But the voices, again, only when the dog was singing 'be my bitch' was I okay with the voice acting, the rest was terrible.

Like I said last time, its just as if you randomly went into any dorm in college and got a bunch of random guys to read your script. I didn't mean you need cartoony voices, as you commented, regular voices are fine, its the acting. It doesn't sound convincing and the delivery isn't very good.

Anyways, I apologize for making the same comment twice and I won't bug you guys with it again, I just wanted to drill it home, well, no at first i just wanted to compliment this cartoon, but, well, yah.

Anyways, thanks again for a great cartoon! :D

Opening shot you use a multiplane camera and when you see that girl riding her bicycle she is obviously 2d, looks very skewed. I don't know if you guys caught this but it might be better to suck it up and animate her. There are a few little things like this I notice. The integration of 3d into your cartoons, while appealing, sometimes seems out of place possibly due to the way color reacts. Maybe a bitmap mask on the 3d objects would blend in a bit more fluidly.

Still, this is excellent.

[Peculiar Family]

Background Artist

Excellent backgrounds. If one thing stands out in this piece it is your background artist/artists. The animation was nice, but the character designs were hit and miss for me. A bit too mainstream. The story itself, well, I can't really tell from this trailer. Still, the animation was attractive. Some continuity issues with me, the way the trailer was put together could have had a better flow to it, even trailers need transitions.

What are you doing this in TVPaint? How did you get it down to such a small sized file?

Anyways thank you for your amazing animation, I and I'm sure many people will be looking forward to the finished product.

[Death of a Bot]

I like this alot except for one thing~

I love the animation in this except for one thing. The 'no pupils' style. Every cartoon and its grandmother on newgrounds has this feature, this style, which is an ugly style and it always will be and I'm sick to death of seeing it. Everything else really though, in this particular animation, its style, the fluidness, etc... extremely well done, I liked the 'plot' and all of that, overall I really liked this cartoon. But man. JUST DRAW PUPILS. Please. I'm begging you.

Not drawing pupils on newgrounds is like only listening to Brittany Spears if you are a little white teenage girl. Its THE most popular and annoying feature of newgrounds. It would be cool of just ONE or two people did it, but that's not the case.

That was great. I enjoyed it. Except the epillepsy part but that's okay. The rest was full of very hard work. Great, fluid, enjoyable.
